485th post

Final call before the planes take off
Final call before we all depart
Some are reluctant, some are jittery
We all have to go some day

Our paths all go separate
Some will meet some will never again
These are the last times for hugs
but still a last time for mugging

I'll be your friend always
I'll treasure these memories
I'll remember the days
right before the curtains fall

If this be a swan song
The length has been not long
We go into battle now
all ready with a respectful bow

Walk down that corridor and lockers
Walk down that road the last few times
I'll remember this place and then miss

We'll not fall, we'll not falter
may God be with us all
I'll support you through
and the post shall be no more

built to last

Giving you the acoustic version cos the actual version is so popular you can hear it on the radio and also cos this acoustic version makes it sound less of a local band(which they are NOT)...so ENJOY!

I've looked for love in stranger places
but never found someone like you
Someone whose smile
makes me feel i've been holding back
and now there's nothing I *can't* do

Cause this is real, and this is good
It warms the inside just like it should
but most of all
most of all, it's built to last
it's built to last

All of our friends
saw from the start
So why didn't we believe it too?
Now look, where we are
You're in my heart now
and there's no escaping it for you

Cause this is real, and this is good
It warms the inside just like it should
but most of all
most of all, it's built to last

Walking on the hills at night
with those fireworks and candlelight
You and I were made to get love right

Cause this is real, and this is good
It warms the inside just like it should
but most of all
most of all, it's built to last

Cause you are the sun in my universe
Consider the best when we felt the worst
and most of all, most of all
most of all, most of all,
most of all. most of all
it's built to last

stygian harlots

To two of you:

I have no idea what I did to you, but hell I don't think it's bad enough for you to talk about me in that manner. You know, things are already bad enough as it is and it seems its gonna stay that way, even without you two poisoning minds with slight misconceptions you get from the other party and then you poison each others' minds. Exams are approaching, use more of your time to freaking think and do work instead of engaging in brainless activities as you do. I'm just fed up at the way things are and you two are not helping a single bit, so just bloody stop poisoning minds with brainless gossip about people you don't know much about.

I'm fed up fed up fed up fed up beyond fed up

nostalgia in retro-ness

firstly, listen to this song. I didn't put the lyrics cos I'm not asking you to listen for the lyrics but rather for the background. The melody...

Alright, now that that's settled. I'm gonna briefly go through the results. Surprisingly, my HLs pulled through (barely) for the grade 7, but my English is a serious demoralizer. It's not that I "don't give a shit" about my paper anymore, it's just that I cannot write a nice enough essay comparing those novels.
Siddhartha is a good book, but the other two, in my opinion, are seriously not for my liking. I couldn't care less if it's some kid growing up in Ireland, but it's a really bad comparison with Siddhartha. For such a refined book of philosophy and knowledge and setting apart, the other books leave much room for crappy comparisons, because the only link that these books have is that they are bildungsroman. Yeah, go on and say it's tragic I don't see any pretty little links, but Siddhartha was mystical and reflective, a whole beautiful thing altogether. but the other two are serious stuff that I don't like to read, much less analyse.

I don't understand why it is required for IB students to excel in literature to enter uni...Man, I speak the language (albeit a little broken and bad grammar), but it's plain nonsensical that you have to critique it really swee swee just to get into a uni.

So there's only this much time left, and I'm still afraid of my math. I have a feeling that the prelims Don't really reflect what is really in the IB exams. I saw the papers and almost fainted.

General trend for recent papers: they like to create the illusion that their questions are hard for the first few ones, then they start to slow you down with really hard ones and finally they drop the hard bomb at the last question. All in all, if you though you could go back to your blanks after them all, you can kiss your time goodbye (applicable for normal people and non-geniuses like me)

I was watching Resident Evil: Apocalypse and wondering how this Umbrella Corporation actually would have it in them to just smash everything without stopping. Think of it this way, this huge company (run by humans) are experimenting on biological terrorism without a care for the world in which they operate. Even if the end comes, from their own doing, they'd still continue to clone a little and shoot the good ones down.

To what purpose?
Isn't money something invented to give a value for your trading? if there's no world to live in, what good is your money or even your goods good for? such is the greed of man that they do not see the logic in reality anymore. Even though this is a just a show, but it does reflect what others do in life. The greed, obsession with money, just blinds you the reality of the situation. The desire for control is so evident, seen from the whole M situation.military might.humans might just be the most dangerous organisms to inhabit this earth.while other animals show off their pride and might, by rituals, we've got missiles and bombs to compare each other with. all just to show who's more powerful. There is never a JUST war. You can't justify a war (how do you justify the massive loss of lives? Do we operate by pragmatism nowadays?)
The word "human sacrifice" should never come to mind when you want to prove a cause. What with all these terrorists following their religions in causing the deaths of others? I don't think it preaches such "justly" sacrifices for purity? Even if there's a quote of "there's no gain without pain" in the teachings, but pain means alive and kicking to feel the sensation caused by free nerve endings, not dead and not feeling it.
How many times have people talked about peace and save the planet and things still HAVEN'T changed since eons ago. In fact, why don't you take a feel of that heat wave outside in the afternoon. In 50 years time, does anyone truly believe that this heat will remain this way, or even worse go down to "natural" state? Theere is hardly action taken to REDUCE. What with Live Earth and all? Just another concert that lasted some many hours. People still suffer consequential to the foolish display of might among leaders. Like little children, their toys take a beating. but these "toys" have hearts and feelings. They feel andthey suffer if you just decide to shift your forces from A to B.
You know it and I know it, deep down, they know they SHOULD be united in an effort to make this planet habitable for the next 20 years, but they just keep warring and warring, crossing swords and all.
Robbers and rapists, have nothing short of primal desires of greed and lusts to fuel them. IN being unable to control themselves, in trying to get a cheap shot, they contribute to nonstop sufferring.
seriously...lower the weapons and do something about this earth. The efforts taken by the charities and mission trips will always be overrun or even quelled by the display of military might and the selfishness of leaders. NO MATTER HOW FAIR THEY SEEM.
conflict is conflict. Leaders should learn...not bark like dogs at first sight, with their arsenal to show.
